Premier (Ferric Subsulfate)
Class III — Low risk. Unlikely to cause harm, but violates FDA regulations.
Why it was recalled
Labeling: Incorrect or Missing Lot and/or Exp Date:The expiration date has an extra digit and is printed as 2709114 instead of the correct 270914 (2027-09-14). It is important to note that this error is limited to the vial itself; the saleable unit of the box of 12 bottles has the correct expiration date printed.
Wrong label, wrong strength, mixed-up products, or packaging errors. One of the most dangerous causes - you can end up taking the wrong drug or the wrong dose. All labeling / mix-up recalls.

Premier, Monsel's, Ferric Subsulfate Solution, 8 mL bottles, Rx only, Manufacturer: Premier Medical Products, 1710 Romano Drive, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462, NDC 48783-112-08.
Low risk, still worth a check. Class III means the product is unlikely to cause harm but breaks an FDA rule (often labeling). If your lot matches, your pharmacy will normally swap it; there is no need for alarm.
Product Mix-up: 0.9% SODIUM CHLORIDE Injection, USP may potentially contain the overwrap with labeling indicating it to be 0.9% SODIUM CHLORIDE Injection, USP but the actual product within the overwrap may be POTASSIUM CHLORIDE Inj.10 mEq
